Johnny Clarke is one of Jamaicas most celebrated vocalists making his name
alongside Dennis Brown and Gregory Issacs as one of the founders of the
modern style of Jamaican dancehall. This live tour, the first for a long
time in the UK, promises Johnny Clarke in fine voice with hit after hit -
tunes like African Roots, Move Outta Babylon, None shall escape the
Judgement and more. With recent success with 70's hits on the Blood and Fire
label release and a current Trojan
re issue scheduled for April 2002 it seems the time is right for a re-
evaluation of one of the great voices of Jamaican reggae with Johnny Clarke
set to claim his rightful position in the reggae hall of fame.
