I'm looking for any information about
my uncle. His name was Harold McNair and he was a well known saxophonist
and flute player and originally came from Kingston. During the
50's he moved to Europe where he played with many musicians including
Quincy Jones, Donovan and Ginger Baker. He died in London in the
early 70's.
In Jamaica he learned music from Victor Tulloch who taught at
the Alpha Boys and Harold played with, amongst others, Gaynair
and the Babba Motta band.
I would be delighted to hear from anyone who could help me with
any details about the man or the music.
Thanks
Dave Bryson
