Clinton Fearon & Boogie Brown Band (RAW #372) will be performing on
Saturday, June 9, at the Grand Opening of the exhibit entitled Island
Revolution: Jamaican Rhythm from Ska to Reggae, 1956 ­ 1981 at the
Experience Music Project ("EMP") in Seattle, WA.

Fearon said, "I would like to congratulate the EMP for having a reggae
exhibit and, more so, I want to thank Dave Rosencrans for his hard work
and effort to get this exhibit together. I feel honored to have been
chosen to participate in the exhibit's Grand Opening."

The Island Revolution exhibit will trace the development of Jamaican
music and its influence across the world, as well as map the cultural
and political impact of the genre both within Jamaica and
internationally. Artists featured in the exhibit include Bob Marley and
the Wailers, Peter Tosh, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Jimmy Cliff, the
Skatalites, King Tubby and Augustus Pablo.

The exhibit, divided into five main sections, will begin with the
Jamaican sound system era of the late 195's and continue with the rise
of rock steady, ska, reggae and offshoots like dub and DJ music.
Artifacts, photographs, recordings and reggae-related films obtained
during three years of research and acquisition by curators at EMP will
be on display.
